centre section hanger change problem

Got a set of hangers for the 182 and have changed the rears
on changing the mid one i couldnt seem to get it off over the bobble bit on the exhaust bracket, so i went to cut thru the rubber to get it off but it seems like there a metal ring on the inside of the hanger, which is slightly smaller than the bobble on the exhausts hock, hence why i cant pull it off

Is this normal if so how do i get it off, i need it changed as i have sorta cut half thru it to get it off but wont come off completely yet as the metal bit stopped me cutting right through it

Yep I had fun changing mine whilst on the drive, it does have a metal ring inside it, getting something flat on the edge of the ring and hammering it off worked for me.
