CG Jetseal 109, Pete's 53 and Mirror Finish

  Mito Sportiva 135
Has anyone tried either of these products or heard any reviews on them? Sound quite interesting, but then again most products do! Would just like to hear from anyone that has had experience with them before spending the cash, can't really justify them even if they are good let alone if they aren't that good...:dapprove:

Cheers

I think Riz on here has tried at least 2 of the 3.

From what I have read the 53 is not as nice as the 50/50 so have not bothered.

Yeh that's fair play. The 109 sounds quite good apart from that it sounds like it was developed as an aero product, so will probably be good at beading and protection but looks might not be that great. Having said that it's £20 so quite expensive for a sealant... that was why I was hoping it might have a little something extra to offer!

The MF sounds good too, maybe as an alternative to Megs 16?

WMF is no diff from using a good wax on racing blue, maybe suited for metallic colours i dont know, on detailing world ppl love it but there using it on metallic colours, i found it did nothing on R.blu
i just used some jetseal the other day on my rear top panel and it looked good TBH espec on racing blue. But waiting to see what it compared liek to Jeff's (my own mini test) at the moment it beads well and has a nice shine to it.I was surprised that it looked so nice was expecting a cold finish without any carnauba.

Pete's 53 smells nice but i wouldnt say it is massively diff from 50/50 poss slighlty more slick look than 50/50 but i havent done a true comparison as yet.As my 53 is over a layer of 50/50, for durability i wouldnt knw as i use aquawax. If u had to pick go for either one of them as there wouldnt be much diff but if u had one i wouldnt go for the other one aswell

if u want my bottle of WMF u can barter it off me

I thought the WMF was quite good and is what I'm using at the moment as it almost has a limited static charge as well which helps for the dust etc. The finish it gives for me is quite something, especially when the car is in the sun.

Didn't think much to the P53 compared to 50/50, it just generally seemed a harder product to apply but was still easy, I would personally pay the bit more and get the 50/50 though.

Was going to get the J109 as well but I decided I've got enough stuff at the moment to keep me going for a while.

Ok so don't think Pete's is worth trying then by all accounts, but think I might be buying some WMF of old Rizy boy...

Might try the Jetseal but got too many sealants at the moment to warrant yet another one!

That's just what I thought, every time a new one comes out I feel the need to try it.

I think you will like the WMF, it does give a good finish.

jetseal seems like any other good sealant to me (jeffs carnauba at moment) but 50/50 def better than petes, deeper and better beading

a sample on my rear panel upper, as i said below i was quite impressed but seems the same as jeff's, but as i wax and top up regularly due to my mileage i cant comment on durability as yet. Every1 on detailing world likes it at the moment, but problem is that it's hard to judge durability!

p.s it did bead and sheet welll but so does jeff's so i dont know

what selant are u using at the moment? if ur using something good at moment i cant see it being much better , but it was a good shine

There is EGP on there from last Autumn topped with multiple Poorboys Wheel Sealant and Swissvax Autobahn. I am struggling to get the car prepped ready for the FCS at the moment and need to re polish and seal the wheels, ideally it would be SRP and EGP but I know I won't have time to do EGP layers hence the idea of Jeseal after seeing a few threads on DW of it on wheels.

i have there wheelguard if u want to use it, it stops the brake dust sticking to the alloys but finish wise is clinical wouldnt say amazing but not bad either, def easier to clean, with my motorway mileage i accept my alloys look darker after 4days anyway

Jet Seal has been on my car for 8/9 weeks now ,only 1 coat topped by a coat of Pete 53
It is still beading very nicely indeed ,a few customers have been testing it on their wheels also and the feedback has been very positive so far

I have just purchased Riz's WMF as he said it did not add much to his (non-metallic) Racing Blue. He also kindly put in a little sample of the Jetseal which should be just enough to do a couple of layers on my wheels.

Now though instead of it raining it is too sunny to work outside, so I will try getting this done later.

On the WMF though it says it is a "micro-polish" so presuming it has some very light cutting properties, so not particularly sure the best place to fit it into the routine. Don't really want to add nore sealant layers again right now so think I will just try a layer after washing and then follow up with some 50/50.

Will let you know how I get on!

Damn, can't find a camera anywhere but will just give a brief summary:

Jetseal seemed to work really well on wheels, obviously can't tell about durability yet but left a high gloss finish. Will see how it wears.

After cleaning the car I gave it a coat of CG EZ Glaze II just to get rid of all water marks and leave a smooth surface to apply the WMF to. Overall, I would say the WMF is good but doesn't provide a revolutionary finish like I was hoping for, certainly glossy but no glossier than Jeffs spray sealant as far as I could tell. However, did leave a really nice finish to apply a coat of 50/50 to, and overall the 3 products seemed to work really well together in terms of looks.

On another note my 50/50 is almost gone so might be time to give the Onyx a go...
