Chair Repair

Went to stealers yestarday and tryed my luck at blaggin a new set cover or new seat but they were having none of it as its just ware so wondering if some one could help me out and tell me what i could do to sort this out but in a way that its not sticking out like a sore thumb when you open the door....

Heres the damage...its about an inch long and not long now till it fully rips open as there still a few threads holding it together

Im o good at that kinda thing end up stitching my hnd to the chair or somin....will have a look in the house see what my mums got layin around
