changing 172 front indicator bulb

Whats the best way to change the front indicator bulbs on a MK1 172, as a hav,nt got 12" long fingers, and there ain,t much room in there.

Prepare to loose loads of skin if you have forearms bigger than a pipe cleaner. The passenger side is the easy one. Now take a deep breath order some skin grafts pull the black pipe next to the head light back as far as it will go and shove your arm in the miniscule gap, and hope that the buld reainer undoes easily.

Thats the only way i know of doing it, i was going to change my bulbs for some different type silver bulbs but that will wait till my arms heal

  Nippy white cup

the joys of having a cup! Took me about 10mins to do front and back. Think this is because there isnt air con and maybe the Xenons get in the way?

Took me the same on the 172, but the sidelight bulbs were an entirely different matter.

Has the Cup got all that thin metal tubing by the offside light? Also my alarm siren got in the way of the nearside one.

The Xenons didnt get in the way.
