Changing brake pads

Mates changing pads, do you need a special copper paste on the back to stop them vibrating or this not necessary?

If it is, where can you get it from/how much?

i applied some to mine after changing them but squealing has started about 5 weeks later. did i not put enough on?

i suggest to just put a sh*t load on :)

make sure you give the caliper and pad carrier rail thing a good going over with a wire brush and get all the excess caked on brake dust. I always clean everything the pads touch including the silver metals shims that sit in between the edges of the pads and the caliper rail thing.

Cover the pad and disc with copper grease.
