Changing car Battery

Hey,

Bought a Ktr induction kit to which my clio has the bigger battery. I purchased a Bosch s4 063 for a cracking price of 40 quid from Eurocarparts. I have cleaned and oiled the filter ready for installation. I wanted to confirm the best way to disconnect a battery is neg-pos and to connect back up is pos-neg. I was also wondering what is the little black connector that clips into the battery at the top on the positive side? Thanks

I think its black off 1st, black on last... the little black thing is just a breather for your pipe(lets water out)

Negative off first / back on last.

The black thing you're on about is probably the breather for the battery, they vent the gases from the battery.
