Changing dephaser

My dephaser is rattling like hell making my engine sound like a diesel....so can i change the timing belt only at the same time or do i need a full timing belt kit? Timing belt kit was replaced last year but looks like dephaser wasn't done..I have the dephaser pulley already.

Tbh the belt is about £30 cheaper than a full kit.

Ok cheers ,but it would cost less to fit just the dephaser and belt rather than the whole kit...

Barely. All the covers still have to come off, all it is, just a further 3 bolts to remove the tensioners and replace them.

I asked this same question @ the garage where mine was done... (Engine rebuilt 14 months ago but no dephaser)
They refused to do just a new belt and Dephaser Which was actually a good idea as it turns out a new waterpump was req and lots of other stuff sorting due to a monkey garage rebuilding the engine.. So IMO its better to get the whole lot done
