Changing gearbox oil

I am going to be changing my g/b oil next week and was wondering if the drain plug is the same as the engine oil one ?

Had to drop the car back down and bugger off to Halfrauds when i changed the engine oil as i didnt have the correct tool to undo the sump plug
Just want to avoid this again..

They are usaually the same size they are on MK2's anyway

Gearbox one on the valver as a hex on it as well incase you don't have the square tool so could use either?

As sami said on all the Mk1's I've worked on, as far as I know the plug on the gearbox can be undone using the same bit as the engine sump plug, or using a 13mm (iirc) socket.

I hate changing gearbox oil, it f**kin' stinks!
