it is impossible to get too, i think it might have to be bumper off, there is a small hole by the wheel arch liner that twists off and it says you can get your hand up there to take bulbs out etc but you cant get anything up there at all
I suspected it might be a struggle to reach into the bay. Renault must make it difficult on purpose, so that you have to take it in them and get charged £30 odd just to get a bulb changed. Anyone else know any tricks??
i know yeah, take it to halfords lol, buy a bulb think its bout a quid get them to fit it for £3 etc, see if they can do it, would be a laugh if they could or couldnt lol
anyone else had problems with changing the bulbs in meganes? Also does someone have the number for Renault UK as I think its a joke that you have to pay Renault to change a bulb!
Has anyone had the cheek to take their megane to halfords and ask them to change a bulb? If so, how much do they charge? Is it a set price or do they charge by the hour for it?
Easiest way to do a drivers side headlight bulb? I can get my hand in through the wheelarch but cant see what am doing so it might be a bit tricky to get a new bulb in and connected back up ect!
Halfrauds won't do it. You need to jack the car up to get your hand in the hole. Taking the wheel off is also advisable. Valver16 and I changed the one on his last meggy, we took the bumper off in the end as the last owner had put some kind of putty around the fixings on the back of the lamp unit, making it impossible to remove!!
Took about half hour if memory serves me right, not a difficult job at all to remove and put it back!!
They are doable on Meganes through the wheel arch, bit tricky and you will hurt your wrist a bit.
A lot of the time tho if you can just move it slightly it will work again.
