Changing number plate

Hi, my wife has just bought me some number plates for my 182. Went to put them on and realised not just a case of undoing some screws.
Went to Halfords and asked if they could fit them - the lad said he had never seen a fitment like that before. His mate suggested taking a drill to it and taking of the heads - not too sure about that one! Called Renault and was left on hold for 10 mins. Anyone here changed plates on an 05 182 and if so any help would be great

Yeah I have, but mine were just screws?!?!

I used double sided pads to stick the new ones on.

Whats the screw head look like? photo?

Surely it can only be a philips screw driver or maybe a star key behind the plastic caps

I'd be tampted just to rip the screws out with some pincer plyers and attach the new plates with body trim tape they'll look so much tidier

Mine is an 05 reg and there stuck on.

The rear one on my 54 clio is riveted on. RIVETED!! Had to be drilled off...

That fitting is like a rawlplug, it will pull out.

I woudl drill it out and refit the plates with stick pads or velcro, really isn't that taxing to be fair

if they are old can you not just pull em off really hard?
