Changing rear discs - quick tips

  Ph2 172 Cup
Just a couple of quick tips from my experience changing my rear discs & pads this weekend.

There's plenty of information on here to help you out and it's all good, but for those looking to undertake the job themselves I would note 2 things :

1) I had to use a g-clamp to push the piston back in, the technique with a screwdriver just didn't work for me.

2) I also had to use a hub puller to get the disc off. Even some fairly hefty attempts with a mallet didn't make the slightest impression.

With the g-clamp and the hub puller, it was just a few minutes work - but I thought I'd post these notes in the hope of saving the hour or so it took me to find them out!

Cheers for the tips, I think mine need doing soon. There's no scoring or much of a lip on the outer edge, but the lip on the inner edge is more profound. Sound like they need doing?

I thought winding them back in ment they just pushed straight back. So they rotate whilst being wound back in?

Whats the most common way to do it?
