Jayjaycm Car clio 1.2 16 valve Feb 14, 2013 #1 Hi guys. Is this a simple procedure? Own a 1.2 2002 clio and want it to sound meaty without spending lots. Dont want an exhaust.. want more of an engine sound. Can anyone recommend a good nice sounding air filter?

Don Car 182 & LY Clio 220 ed Feb 14, 2013 #2 2 minute job. Do you mean a cone or replacement filter for the air box?
J JackJack Feb 14, 2013 #3 Easy if it's a D4F engine, take the top half of the airbox off then fit the adaptor plate and filter.

Click to expand... hmm im not sure.. a guy on youtube said he had bought a k&n air filter and replaced the stock one and it sounded really nice. So theres 2 different types? Any ideas which one would be better to replace for noise?

mr.pink87 Car 172/1.2/E30 Feb 14, 2013 #7 Sound ridiculous on a 1.2. Had a K&N kit on my 1.2, funny for a few days. Then it gets annoying.
