Changing Sump...

  Tweaked Leon Cupra R
As above,

is it an easy job, just drain oil remove sump new gasket and torque back up?

where can i get a sump from? what sort of price?

What tools are needed for the silly torque bolt things?

oh, K4M we are talking about here.

Why if you don't mind me asking do you need to chnage the sump?

Same sump on the 1.6 and 1.4 engine though.

Best idea price for a sump contact Matt on 01254 386661 he'll help you out.

But your idea of what to do is right.

you'll probably have to lift the engine up slightly to get the sump off, not too tricky to do, take me about 1.5hours do to a 172/182

  172 cup'd extreme
the tool you need is a female torx, but you need a smaller one than 3/8th inch drive due to the holes. you also need to undo some gearbox bolts as the gearbox underside mounts onto the sump.
matt has loads of sumps in they are very similar k series and f series.

ooops!!!! its not a bad job, but as i say, you will have to lift the engine up to get it out through the subframe

maybe it's just dislodged the gasket..? I need to fit ma de-cat too so would it not make sense to drop the subframe slightly?
