changing the battery

hi.

i need to change the battery in my car and was just wondering what tools etc i need, just my car is stored about 50 miles from my house at the minute so i can't have a look and see before i go and do it.

7-8 and 13mm sockets will be enough

What potential problems would you encounter whilst changing it?

i.e. the radio code needs re-entering?

Will the alarm and immobiliser be OK?

just the radio code.. thats all I had to sort out after change over!

You will need a long socket extension bar to get down to the nut on the bracket that holds it in.

Yeah you will def need an extension bar, you won't get your arm near it.

I take it the nut is visible from the outside looking in and not hidden away somewhere??

Should be down the engine side of the battery iirc!
