Chav gas (Nos)

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
I heard on the radio that this stuff can make your car so out of control that you run people over by accident..

Steer clear ;)

On a standardish 182 If I recall 50 was about as high as you could go without needed a progressive controller, as yours is tuned I'm not so sure! Benr would be the best to answer this question imo.

£50!
I dont think you could use it solid for 5mins lol. Will explode!

Just use it for short blasts etc

Do you have to use this stuff once in 5th/top gear? Or can it be used in any gear?

I was under the impression (no idea why) that you had to be at top wack to then use it :S

  182
I used mine in every gear and didnt do the car no harm.

Expensive to keep refillin though and very addictive to use.

Took mine out in the end.

Not as far as I know... obviously you use it with a bit of mechanical sympathy.

ie. Not in first! lol

EDIT: Too late.

Its only works on full throttle. Not top gear lol

There's different types of systems/setups though isn't there? Direct i.e like the one Ben has link and a manual one where you control when you want it?

Or am I talking s**t?!

Its always triggered via full throttle, either by micro switch or a TPS peak value threshold.

On ITB's your going to need to run port injection rather than the single injector that comes with that kit. Physically its not hard to setup, but your going to need a fair bit more hardware....it wont be discreet lol.

Also, the amount you run depends on your flexibility. Your omex cannot swap maps back and forth, so what is optimal for your engine runinng off gas, will almost certainly cause damage if your going to run any amount of gas that is half exciting. So, if you want to keep it basic and run 30bhp, very very minor alterations to the map and only fire it post 3000rpm or so, then you will get away with it.

If you want to run anything worthwhile like 50-100bhp jets then you WILL need a progressive controller and you will end up with having to have a specific N20 capable map as the ignition curves will be oh so different on and off gas.
