'Cheap' MP3 player

Going to pick up an MP3 player for my mum for Xmas for when she does her exercise.

Doesn't need to hold many songs, just needs to be small and fairly simple to use.

iPod Shuffle is the best choice at the moment, unless anyone can suggest a differemt option that is good but perhaps cheaper?

I had a Sony Walkman 4gb MP3 player for a while before I got my iPod. Was pretty good and the battery life was great.

End pulled off and it was basically a USB stick with a screen, cost me about £40 from Currys.
