is that worth a punt for just a machine that the mrs will just use to write her stuff on and surf the net ?

its been so long since we had a pc and i built one i just dont know any more oh and its a HP

That's fine for what she will be using it for. 2GB of RAM is plenty and the processor is good. For the money you can't really go wrong.

I do a lot more with mine (music production, etc) and it's only got 2 x 512MB RAM and 2.6GHz.
 
thought so i have just been left behind regarding cpu's lol used to know it all but these days i just dont give a damn


didnt think it was bad for a brand new pc inc OS i remember when they were 1500+ for a really really s**t elonex 386

i may use it for photoshop but tbh if i find im using it alot i will buy something better for me but i havent had a pc of my own now for maybe 4-5 years

I paid £120 for a P4 3.1 with 1gb of ram and a 250GB hard drive a few months back.

Not one problem with it (dives for some oak). :D
 
its just arived and its great actually
i bought a dvd writer as when i read the spec it didnt have one mentioned so now i have 2 dual layer dvd writers :)

anyway its quiet enough looks alright seems to be an alright spec shame the graphics arnt better but it has a spare pci express 16 slot
