cheapest place for new tyres

  Clio 182 FF RB
can someone tell me where the cheapest place on the net is for getting new tyres please? I live on the Isle of Man and have been told that instead of purchasing some over here it would be far better to get some from the internet.

cheers! Have just taken a look on there and it is cheaper than any other site i have looked on so far, the IOM was on the delivery list too so i clicked on that and it was only £15 delivery, not bad at all :)

Another quick question, I have toyo proxies on at the moment but would like to change to mitchellen pe 2's, however i am only in need of 2 tyres at the moment and can only afford 2, would it affect the handling of the car much if i had 2 of one make on the rear and the other 2 on the front?

Would have thought u'd be fine because you have the same brand across each axle.

I have just done the reverse, gone from PE2's all round to Proxes T1R's all round. Given they get slated on here, I have not noticed any deterioration in grip whatsoever. And they were essentially half the price of the PE2's:)

I know it was a different car but on my old Escort I had Toyos on the front and Mitchellens (not PE2s) on the back and the car handled fairly well for what it was. The toyos started getting low so I swapped them around so the Toyos were on the back. That turned the car in to a right nightmare, the back end became extremely lively and was even worse in wet weather.

owen - ive never had a problem with my toyos either, i was reading the poll about which tyre people prefer and saw loadsa people slating the toyos for bad grip etc but i have never found my car to be slidy and unmanagable.....i also read that because they had softer rubber or something they wore out quicker, what do people see as quick wearing for a tyre? coz i have had the car 1 year and 3 months now and they were on the car before i got it and have only just started getting bald now so i am tempted to stay with the proxies but thought i might like to try the mitchellens as i had ps 2's on my evo and they were brilliant and people on here seem to prefer them too.
