Check ABS warning on dash!

Was driving last night in the snow when my Dash flashed with a warning light telling me to check my ABS and my yellow spanner service light also came on??? Has now turned off but should I be worried??????

If its gone off now, no.

You probably just spun the wheels in the snow and this caused the light to come on. Because the front wheels are moving and the rears arnt, it thinks the rear wheels have locked up.
