Check Auto gearbox on dash

Hi bought a mk4 Clio rs200 and love the car but I've just started getting this Check auto gearbox on my dash, I've been told the code is something to do with short circuit to drive 2 12v+, Im just wondering if anyone can help explain what it could be please and is it going to cost a fortune to fix. Change the battery if it’s not recently been done. If the battery is not that old then I’m afraid it’ll likely be the transmission control module (TCM).

Hi Sash, thanks for the reply, I've had a it diagnosed today and they've given me a message of Short circuit to drum 2 12v. I'm trying to find the fuses form somewhere so I can replace them and then get it looked at again by a Auto Electrician, hoping it's not tcm been told very expensive

Unfortunately the fault codes are very misleading.
Not always what they say they are.

Oh great, I'll book it in with dealership i think, might be best way to go, I'll keep everyone updated, thanks for your advice and help
