After the EFI RR day I was told my timing may be out... What the easiest way to check?

Is it as simple as knocking the end caps out and seeing if the horse shoe fits properly or will It need stripped out completely?

If it all needs pulled to bits il take it somewhere else as I really cba with it...

I would pin the crank, then see where the cams are in relation to the bottom end by attempting to fit the horseshoe. If you're happy to attempt the top end bit, pinning the crank shouldn't phase you, it's one bolt (E torx) line the tdc mark up on the flywheel and gearbox, and slide the pin in

Ok cheers dan. Sometimes I don't trust the people who did the belt when I purchased the car (I had no input, garage just got it done by their "Renault specialist")

Sounds like a good weekend to me, I've done quite a few belts on me old f4r's, brought all the tooling from renault too. I a mechanic by trade, I don't think there a bad belt once everythings out the way.
