China to build tunnel buses...

Because buses tend to drive slower than most cars etc, they can cause congestion, as they are slowing down drivers. So what people in China have developed is a bus that cars can drive under!.... sounds cool, but is this a good idea or bad idea?... what if a car crashes underneath the tunnel bus?.. would it cause more lives than say if a car hit a normal bus?

I designed something similar to this in my spare time at uni, essentially it's a good idea (I would say that) but it does come with it's faults. Agreed it might cause more accidents if cars crash underneath it causing massive pile ups, or if lorries/high vehicles don't realise that it's there and scrape through - it happens on low bridges so it'll happen here.

It's the future though, and they're looking for suitable alternatives. I for one like it

That's epic, can you imagine if the sides were solid, so it was a proper moving tunnel. Every time I went under one I would have to drop a few cogs and floor it!!!
