I would not have thought so mate, make sure you have good brake fluid as well.

I have DS2500 and standard discs on mine, brakes are spot on for fast road and ive never got them to fade.

By replacing the fluid to a better spec i would say its good enough for the odd track day.

Haven't tried 1144s for years but having read various posts on here, from respected drivers then I wouldn't touch them for track use. Just about to get another set of DS2500s as I think they are perfect for road and track. Make sure that they are the larger 565H pad.

1144's are utter crap on track, honestly i'd go for genuine pads over them (even on track) Brembo's "OE" pads are good too

I run Redstuff pads and Brembo max discs and so far they are excellent. But then again they cost me less than what high carbons retail at.
