Christmas present help

The parents have hinted for a camera for Christmas this year, for when they go on holidays and such like.

Me and my dad already have a 5d mk3 and various lenses, but they don't want to be carrying that around with them.

So what i'm really looking for is a decent compact/bridge camera that has plenty of settings for when my dad uses it, and simple enough for my mum.

Looking at around £300 (could stretch to more possibly), so is there anything in that region worth looking at? I'm not really clued up on non dslr's.

Fuji XM-1 You can get a good mix of lenses, they don't weigh much and are fantastic.

Yeah, had a look at that. The only thing is the flash is separate so it's not that suitable if my mum wanted to take it out.
