Chromebooks etc

My eldest is in year 10 and struggling a bit. She uses her phone and tablet for homework and study, which I detest.

Thinking of getting her a chrome book to actually sit at her desk and do the work properly + get used to using a traditionalish keyboard/mouse/computer.

Are these any good? Worth it?
I CBA supporting full fat desktops or laptops and thought these might be a good bridge between.

There are really crap ones and quite decent ones, if she's already using Google stuff then it will all integrate together nicely, can't see any reason not to go for it personally.

I've no idea what's good or good value at the moment, haven't looked at them for years, so I'd say seek out some reviews but there's no reason it wouldn't work for her needs.
