Cleaning a steering wheel

Obviously they get full of s**t over time and get nice and sticky (Eurghh!)

Whats a good way of cleaning them? I'd rather not scrub it to death incase I rip all the rubber of it!

Is there a good deep cleaner thats safe to use?

A product like Poorboys New Look Gel will bring back the darker colour too, so it wont look all faded and crap.

watch though as the all the chemicals in there can make the plastic go whiter, and its a pain to get off once there. I use a microfibre thats damp on my steering wheel and gear stick.

Baby wipes FTW! looking much better now - just need to treat it with something that makes it look nice and shiny but DOESN'T however lose me total control over the thing!

Damp cloth is all you need . I wouldn't bother with any cleaning products .

Auto Glym interior cleaner spray and a sponge works for me.
