cleaning black

  Clio MK 4
Cleaned my gf's dads black bora and was the first black car i had cleaned. Taught me to NEVER get a black car. How do you guys do it??

I Foamed it then washed it dried it with microfibre towels and it was leaving like patterns of water. It dried naturally only to have marks on it like finger marks and stuff!!!

So i gave it some SRP then EGP then some wax (Not ideal wax as was using P21's as it the only one i have for my silver 172) and it came out a bit better but still not that good.

How do you do it???

Filtered water is a god send at the drying stage. Any kind of work in the sun is a mare.

It takes patience...

Spent a good 4 hours giving the Golf a spruce-up and, then, as I'm chatting to the old dear as I'm about to leave, she leans up against the car and rests her arms on the roof.

Damn it, I nearly pistol-whipped her. Turns out I don't have a pistol...

I don't have a filter, can see they would be usefull but washing in the shade and padding dry with some QD is fine for me, don't induce any swirls if you are carefull.

exactly, my next big boy on the liost, how much ?

Pure dedication, wash mine usually 2-3 times a week. A lot of tlc goes into my car.

I got the Aquagleam, not sure how much I payed now. Looking into the alternatives as mine is nearly dead now.

massive drying towels are a must

Filtered water and no drying FTW on black !
