Cleaning car mats

Car  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I just bought some 2nd hand mats, and they're a bit filthy... whats the best way to clean them?..

Are they carpet mats ? If so , Autoglym interior shampoo or Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner ( APC ) if they are heavily soiled .

Hmm, they won't fit in my washing machine, they're the proper tailored mats, with the centre heel bit, so its very thick material... they won't bend in either!

I spray the mats with one of the above products and agitate with an abrassive sponge/ normal sponge as required then wipe over with an old MF towel before hoovering off.

If they are fandangled then you can get new ones cheap off the 'bay.

They're perfectly fine the mats, just thought i'd wash them to get the smell out...

Try Oust or Febreze or similar and should do the job, but a bad smell may be due to bacteria rather than just "dirt" so you can either steam clean them, put in the washing machine (never done this myself mind, not sure how they will end up) or new ones.

washing machine for me... or i use the hose and sponge and soak them and use my george for hoovering all the water/dirt off....

As above or Meguiars APC on thicker grime. Agitate with a Megs Interior Brush, scrub clean with a cloth and vac.

Reallly really bad, pressure wash first !
