Cleaning Cone Filter

What would be the best way to clean my cone filter without buying special cleaners and tools?

Mines looking rather dirty and the mechanic doing my brakes last week put his grubby hands on it and got brake fluid all over it.

you can probably use any cleaning products you like but you need to buy the oil to coat it afterwards otherwise its useless. Considering a cleaning kit usually is under £15 whats the issue??

use a brush to get big bits off, if you dont wanna buy the cleaning and oiling kit put it in the bin and replace it. cheapo on ebay...
