Hi, the top of my lenses have gone discoloured and rough, any ideas on how to sort this.
its a mk2 ph1 with non dual optics

Cheers

Best bet is probably a wet sand with 1200, 1500, 2000 grade paper and then maybe a compound of some sort.

Meguiars scratch X may be ok to use but don't quote me on it :S

thanks, ill have a look at that scratch x, i dont want to end up making it worse, as they are plastic and easily scratched

I used 350 dry first on mine, this basically gets rid of the top layer and gives you fresh plastic.
Then I used wet sanding grades 1000-1500 and finally polished it with my Rotary with Megs #83 and #80.

After that they came up like new :)

By the way, it's really hard to muck up.

Listen to this man. I 1st tried scratch x and it was poo, ended up using megs #80 on a swirlbuster pad.

There was a thread on this lad the other week.

Have noticed that you are in the NW, quite happy to sort it for you if you bob over. I have a machine polisher so will bust through it in no time.

Very similar to this;

http://www.jmstuning.co.uk/ look under services and the "head light correction" icon.
