Cleaning inside arch liners

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Hello everyone!

Got a question for ya... basically drove over some wet paint accidently at a building site the otherday and the paint splattered inside of the arch liner, and a bit along the back of the bumper....

What do you guys suggest i should do to clean up the splattered paint, it is dried up now.....

Plus whats a good method to clean the arch liners in general, get all that mud and dirt out...

Thanks

get the car on axle stands, drop your wheels off and get a pressure washer under there.

the inner arch is plastic and smooth so any paint will be unable to stick, a good blast with a pressure washer will take it off.

you must have some terrible pressure washers :S

and a none keyed surface, paint has nothing to stick to, a decent pressure washer would take it off

Take your wheels off - first try AG Engine and Machine Cleaner. Failing that I would try some white spirit, the solvent in there should break down all but the toughest of paints. After wiping over liberally and leaving for a few minutes, use an abrasive sponge with more AG Engine and Machine Cleaner to take or the remaining paint. I would be surprised if that didn't shift all of it.

Once you have done that, dress the liners with something like AG Bumper and Vinyl Dressing.

General dirt Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or a strong mix of Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner 4:1. Both he above agitated with a old wash mitt and some car shampoo rinsed with a hose works well, no pressure washer needed.

As for the paint , some Meguiars clay may remove it if not try a wipe with some white spirit.
