Cleaning my Collies!

This weekend im goin to take some time out and give my H&R's a proper gd clean. What can i apply to protect the threads from gathering s**t?

Is copper slip the right stuff or is there anytihng else you reccommend?

Clean them up thoroughly probably need a wire brush to get the threads clean make sure the collars can move then grease them up I wouldnt use copper slip personally. Also something like this http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=KIR00041
will keep the crap out to an extent. I'd be inclined to take the struts off the car if you want to do a proper job of cleaning them up.

To be fair if you clean your collies using the above methods, the RSPCA are going to lock up your bad self!!

copper grease is great stuff. so easy to remove once applied.

Wire brush them with wd40 then copper grease will be fine.

I used Meguiars Super Degreaser and an alloy brush for my old set - worked really well
