Cleaning the Fuse Box

  Breaking A 172 Replica
I have no archliners and the fuse box in the clio has been destroyed by the last owner (I have stopped questioning how and why somethings are as they are on my car now!). It means that water and grit gets into the fuse boxes and sticks to the fuse metal prong things. How am I best off removing this?

Normally I can just scrape it with a screwdriver but I am guessing since the recent flooding a load of calcium carbonate has been left in the holders themselves.

Any ideas?

I don't have access to an air compressor btw.

Thanks

Sam

Take the whole thing out?

There seems to be a connection that doesn't undo in there though :S?

What do you think I should wash it with? Water seems to feck it up more as it drys and then all the deposits are left?

remove and clean whatever you can and use electrical contact cleaning spray(from most motor factors).
Then spray it all with water repelant.
