Cleaning top inlet

  Clio Trophy
Hello

im planning on spraying the top inlet at some point, cleaning the top i have got figured out, but not been able to find any useful information about cleaning the inside out whilst its off? is it worth doing, and what to use? only thing i found was someone using mr muscle foam oven cleaner, but they seemed a bit mad

With mine i done exactly what you have suggested, After sand blasting it i popped mine in the bath with loads of mr muscle and left it for 10/15mins.
My inlet then had a shot in the dish washer and after that a good rinse out with just water and an airline to dry it out and make sure it was all clean.
I then got it powder coated and rinsed it again with warm water and took out all the old bolts (so the threads never got powder in them) and and went over it with an airline again
