Clicking noise when turnin right

Hey folks

Bought my phase 1 172 a few weeks ago and just started this noise. When I'm turning right it makes a clicking sort of noise. I can feel it inside the car also. Gets faster with speed aswell.

Feels like its coming from the drivers side also.

Was told its probably the outer cv joint. But both shafts were replaced about 100 miles ago just before I bought the car. So could the cv just need cleaned and refitted? Or could it not be located properly? Or do you get new cv joints instead of buying a shaft.

Cheers

Bump!

changed the shaft today for a known good one and noise is still there.

Also swapped rear wheel to the front and noise was still there too.

Any suggestions? Really need this sorted ASAP :(

interested in the reply to this. i have a 182 cup doing the same, except is only when on nearly or full lock turning right (sound from drivers side as well). also right before full lock the steering seems to judder round without any input! doesnt sound/fell good at all. also looks like getting a lot more wear on outer edge of front drivers tyre. i thought about cv joint at first but think could be more as the car pulls to the right quite a lot when driving! :S

any input/suggestions much appreciated!!

cheers

Done a search and read it could be the top gearbox mount? Anyone think this is a possibility?

If so how much are they and what's the part number?

i took the car down the garage tonight and they identified the passenger side track rod end has gone, and that i need my tracking sorting out. Taking it in on sat (£35 fitted for TRE so happy with that! :)) then i'm sticking some new tyres on and getting the tracking sorted. I'll let you know the outcome!
