Clifford G5’s

Hmm, found somewhere a bit cheaper.. £350 for the basic 650 with normal sensors, £379 with dual zone and £399 wth glass break/tilt..

They do look pretty cool.. heh.

Do you have the link for the cheaper prices as i am interested in a G5 Cat approved Clifford alarm for my 182.

Thanks in advance

I think ill put in an order for the 650 Cat 1.

Whats the best variation?...dont want false alarms or people testing the exterior proximty so will probably opt for internal or glass break..do these ones roll up the windows std or with an additional unit?

might give them a call prior to placing an order though!

yea, Youd want standard or glass break..

Dual Zone proxes is the perimiter etc..

I think Window Roll-up needs an extra module.

Does anyone think the woreless imobiliser would be worth adding to the 950? Or would it be better to get a the G4 concept 600 and add the G5 features to it?

Seems a good add on and would stop people tracing the wires and bypassing it....but if anyone is serious enough to get past all the other features to do that theyll probably just lift your car up onto the back of a trailer!

Personally unless you have money to burn might be an idea to skip that one..

Thats what Im thinking, and the 950 has the digital tilt sensor so would trigger in that eventuallity. Im getting a pager as well, so I should know if anything is going on with the car, soon enough to be able to get to it before anyone has a chance to bypass it. (hopefully)

Probably. The place I rung (which are normally cheaper) was £400 for the basic system with Dual-Zone Proxes..

does the concept 300 with window module give you one touch up and down for passenger side too? I think you get that on the G5, dont know about G4.

I think ill jusy get it without the window roll up!

£150 is a bit much for a gimmick...now if it was a convertible then maybe i would think about total closure.

Cheers for all of your comments guys

Update**

Have received a price for supply and install on a G5 Cat 1 Concept 650.

This will be with the Tilt Sensor and Glass Break+Plus Window Roll up for 2 windows.

Fully fitted for £499.

Ill let anyone who is interested know the email for the company as soon as they install it for me...i can then report on their service level and quality of install

Where abouts is this please?

Did u know the only difference between the G4 and G5 is the blue LED and shape of the remote control?

sounds like a waste IMHO! this is what my local clifford fitting place was telling me!

ive got the G4 concept 500 with all closure & remote start, love the thing! would never go back!

however I do want that paging thing... can i get that for my alarm?

Funny...this is listed as all the changes to the alarm with the G5.

The G5 CliffNet Wizard is now Windows 2000 and XP Compatible!
The entire G5 line features the most advanced superheterodyne receivers available, for optimum range!
All Concept and IntelliGuard models now feature the Smart Secure Immobilizer circuit, eliminating the possibility of stranding the vehicle due to a power failure!
New Bright Blue Status LED lets thieves know that Clifford G5 is on board!
Each auxiliary output channel has its own dedicated timer (G4 only had one timer for all outputs.)
G5 systems features Normally Closed trigger input for rear defoggers and vehicles with closed loop triggers.
New Cool Blue LED on the Radar transmitter!
Five selectable auxiliary output options.
FACT2 anti-false alarm technology.
Remote sensor bypass from the transmitter.
All Concept and Intelliguard systems are now compatible with remotely adjustable sensors.
All models compatible with the optional Wireless Immobilizer.
I am sure that your local engineers who only really fit them and dont make them know that they are similar..it isnt a brand new system..just a more advanced one.

Erm..

Its a complete redesign.. pretty much.

Well i went with the G4 and paid a few quid for the G5 mods, the alarm is still fantastic and I wanted a Cat1 when the G5 had not been given that yet. And saved myself quite a bit of cash doing it also.I have a concept 600 with remote start, led stickers on each rear window, blue G5 Led. Should have totaled at over £900 from working out at clifford prices, paid £600 fitted.

err yeah seeing as the clifford name is no longer owned by clifford ! its just a brand name now, the g5 stuff is poo and will be full of bugs and teething problems this early in their life. if only you lot knew how much it all costs at dealership prices .... youd all be kicking yourselfs !hehehe
