Clio 1.1 Turbo Mark 3 2011 Plate

  Clio RS 200 Gordini
Hi, letting everyone know that this is going to be my Teenage project car!

Its a Clio 1.1 TCE Mark 3 GT Line TomTom 2011 Plate with roughly 13k miles on the clock. I've already voided the manufacturers warranty as the car feels extremely healthy even up in the rev ranges.

I am currently running 104BHP from the Longlife Full Cat Back system with Twin Tips. Here are a few pictures of the car!

Before I picked it up from the Renault Dealership last month:

Soon enough I will be taking it down KTEC for a run for 182 injectors fitting and a Remap. My goal is 140BHP; might be a little enthusiastic but I'll put the money in to it if its needed. I will also be upgrading the FMIC as I feel that the original really does not cool the air enough even with the car standard! Overtime as the car heats up and the turbo gets to its usual temperature, the car is never as punchy as before; that indicates to me that the FMIC is too small in width and is not catching the air to cool it good enough.

Will keep everyone updated if interested.

Not really read much on this version, though it sounds like a punchy one!

Alloys look very similar to 182 alloys, also needs lowering all round. Never liked standard height on the mk3.

Great colour though, I will be keeping an eye on this :).

Looks good mate

As said, needs lowering... Have a look at my Mk3 Thread.. Also a Tce...

Thanks Craig

No you got it wrong Knuckles. I voided the warranty BECAUSE it felt healthy. If I felt like there was something wrong common sense would have told me to take it back to the garage but it was as solid as a rock even hitting 4.5k RPM's occasionally.

Yeah I love the colour too! My Mrs seems to think its a womany colour though but I'm inclined to disagree ;)

i think i'm following; you felt confident that the car wasn't going to break, so you started modifying it?

out of curiosity, where is your red line? Im sure my old 1.4 was in the 7s somewhere

Yeah forget about it, will be easier that way! Ill throw up a few more pictures in a bit. Heading down KTEC in 2 weeks with the following parts:

182 Injectors MATCHED
http://www.spoox.co.uk/en/asnu-injector-cleaning-and-injec/3178-matched-clio-172-182-injectors.html

Pipercross Panel Filter (More than happy with the standard box, I don't like induction kits anyway too much bad going around with them at the moment)
http://www.pipercross.net/panel_filters/product.asp?m1=36&m2=704&app=3408

140BHP Targeted Remap, enthusiastic but If I can do it; I'll do it!

SPARCO pedal kit - KTRDirect

The handling and Interior will be done after that in a few months with the following:

Recaro R100 Bucket Seats
http://www.ktrdirect.com/equipment/seats/road-seats/sparco-bucket-seat-r100.html - Bleu

Eibach Springs (Lowering) - KTEC

Brembo brakes (I'd feel safer if I had more stopping power) - BREMBO

Later down the line:

FORGE Universal Front Mounted Intercooler (To get that punch back in the car when its been running for a while)
The FMIC is out of my budget at the moment and its far from an emergency.

6,000 RPM, it was the same on my old 1.2 Mk2. It isn't actually 6k though it bounces off it at roughly 5.7. Hits hard especially if your slamming it in 1st. I haven't hit the limiter in this one yet though, I see no general point as I've seen dyno graphs from standards dropping 10-20bhp at those high revs because the injectors are limited which is part of the reason I'm getting them done the same time as the remap.

I think what he's saying is he tested the car was happy with it, so put on a new exhaust which has in turn voided the warranty?

Correct!

Just letting people know, I've rang KTEC and they said they can remap to 135-140BHP as the engine has done very little miles and as long as it is healthy there shouldn't be a problem, he also stressed that two engines are never alike and where one may only get 130BHP, mine could get 140BHP...

Mine, just a full cat back system at the moment. Awaiting Injectors, filter and remapping.

155 Foot Pounds Maximum @ 2,500 RPM;
Goes on to make 145-140 @ 4,000 RPM
Drops off at 4,500-5,000 which will be regained with a K03s in time.

I really dislike that Torque drop off so much so you can feel it in the car. Will be fitted in 3 months with a new intercooler and then I am going to call it quits with the car and just enjoy the drive.

58MPG on a run
45MPG 1,500-2,000 RPM @ Extra Urban
27MPG @ 2,500 - 6,000RPM @ Ragging

Looking to keep 155 Foot Pounds consistant throughout the rev range maybe to limiter if its possible.
