clio 1.2 16v exhaust

  2002 172
just got a aftermarket exhaust and sounds really loud and instead ov makin a deep note its more ov a racket and backfires when gearing down is this a common thing?

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
Yup,

The lil 1.2 motors seems to be rather poppy lol

if you think its too loud take it to powerflow and they can quiet them down.

They can change the baffles etc in the back box or fit a centre section silencer.

Best speakign to them regarding how you want the car to sound.

Hope that helps

So is it legal not too have a centre box

Theres is no law governign this....

By centre box i mean after the cat (on the centre section)
Some Clios didnt have a centre box and some did - depending wot reno had left hehehe

my standard system had...

----CAT-------CENTRE SILENCER------------BACKBOX--

NORMALLY on a aftermarket system u only get

----CAT------------------------------------BACKBOX--

The only company i know that has a centre section silencer is Magnex hence why there systems are not soo loud. (good quality kit as well)
