Clio 1.2 RL ---> track car conversion

First of all i'd like to say hello from Slovenia to everyone.

Some time ago I started a "litle" project called Clio CUP.
what we started with:

So far we were able to:

*Swap the rear suspension from the Original Clio 1.4 CUP

*Change the front springs with the OMP Racing ones:

*Mounted the front swaybar from Clio 1.8 16v

*Mounted the brakes (brembo max discs and EBC GreenStuff pads) [swaping these soon for the 259mm vented setup]

*Stripped interiour:

*mounted the front and rear bomper, front wings ans bonnet from a 16v Clio

*bought 2 sets of 16v Speedline wheels:

I also got a racing seat and harness that still need to go into the car:

Test fitted one harnes to my 16v seat:

Plans for the near future:
*drop the ride hight in the back
*replace the rear arches for the 16v ones,
*sort out the interior,
*mount the racing steering wheel:

*paint
*1.6e engine from the megane (or maby 2.0 16v depends on the funding )

I probably forgot a million things, but that is preety much it.

Today i test fitted my Deepdish steerin wheel into my "mule car".

we made a spacer that bolts on to the original williams/16v steering wheel hub:

and then the steering wheel:

since i don't need a horn button i had a litle fun and made this:

and when i mounted it i didn't like it, so I made a nother one

I tested it today and im verry happy with the driving position. Damn i wish my "mule" had 20-30 BHP more

Today I got myself to get the sparco seat into my car

It needs some more tweeks to be parfect

Today we finished the mounts for the bucket seat. soon it will be moved over to the red car

i might have neglected you guys a bit. There has been a few updates to the project.

First of all i've sourced a 1.6e engine from the Megane, and the shortest possible gearbox from an Express Diesel

Sorry that the project is going along so slowly, but the funding is a bit poor I have to pay over 3000€ of tuition fees every year. Everything else goes into the project. Hopefully things will start mooving along a bit faster soon. Thanx for reading.

Ok finaly the crappy 1.2 engine is out

time taken: 1.5 hours

The new one wil probably be fitted on monday. Damn clutch....

Ok, we have got a new clutch, new oil for the engine and the gearbox, new gaskets for the ehaust and inlet manifold, modified the hell out the inlet manifold to fit the engine mount, so close yet so far. As my friend said like takeing the antlers of a raindeer

hey guys. I have finali wireed the engine, and now im kinda stuck. when i turn the key, the dash is blank... the ECU makes some noises, but that is all. no ignition lights go on. does anyone have any ideas?
