Clio 1.5 dci timing issue.

So got the bottom pin in but the cam shaft pin will not line up it’s a pin width out clockwise.
The tensioner concerns me but it runs fine so. 🤷‍♂️

Thoughts?

Whats the issue? Belt change? Might need another revolution to get tensioner in the window.

Also check correct crank pin length and the keyway mark is lined up in oilpump casing.

Last person who has done belt might not have moved cam pulley bolts.

Currently changing the belt.

Got the bottom crankshaft pin in and the engine won't rotate further.

The cam shaft is roughly 10 degrees clockwise past the timing pin hole so even with adjustment on the pully bolts I can't get the pin in.

I'm pretty certain it's on the original belt.

I tell a lie crank keyway goes straight up and down when crank is in correct position instead of lining up

Id check length of the pin your using. Are you following workshop manual?

I am but Its a 2016 plate car so may be some minor differences but the engine should be very similar.

I've got a Sealey pin its 64mm long MOT1489.
