To 60, the Clio standard for standard is 1 second slower, so my modified example would'nt be far off the pace. 30-100 it was dead even, he probably gained half a car.

You drive a 1.2 16v .... the build quality is no better than any other french car and the only reason its doesnt rattle is because it doesnt go fast enough.

In fact i'm sure i've done more mileage in a Clio 1.2 than you have.

The only better quality you get is with the Renault Sports .... all other models are dull and cheap.

I totally agree ..... the only thing that irritates me is comments from people who i can bet you have never driven a Saxo.

I myself have driven 100K+ in both a Clio and Saxo and have my own likes and dislikes about them both. The only difference is my opinions are based on experience and not just what i've heard from others.

As I've said. The VTS is a cracking car and is a lot quicker than the Clio, it's all down to what you want from the car at the end of the day.....

Both are good cars, iv driven both, saxo is faster but does it really matter? 1.6 clio isnt really slow where it matters and can handle more power and its hard to change a saxo without it looking chavy. My sister has a 150 bhp GTI pug, thats much better than a saxo in my opinion but id get the clio, heavily biased mind
All are great cars and lol to people saying a roll cage does eff all during a frontal crash :lolup:

The gearbox is rock solid so i dunno if your quick google search of "saxo problems" resulted in just that but i cant see how else you came up with such a stupid assumption. Ill ignore the rest of your comments as they hold no substance or argument.

ANYONE who comes out with the words 'class' refering to a Saxo only brings one word to mind... starts with a 'C'

And ROFL @ people saying both are GREAT cars (refering to the 1.6 Clio and VTR) they are both cheap taccy excuses for cars, and both reflect that in their value. Although IMO weighing up the two cars, out right performance would sway it for me and i'd have the Saxo. This is only hypothetically of course, i'd never dream of owning either if i had to.... much rather get into a mint mk2 golf gti for that money any day.

The only reason i own a Clio now is because of the 'Sport' spec, and when you compare it to other rivals in IT'S league, i.e Civic type-R, Cooper S, VXR, Golf Gti etc etc, it really it the best value for money. Its leaps and bounds ahead of all other lower spec Clios
