you could always buy my 1.6 16v - check the for sale section

well mine is nearly that for a year i think its £175 iirc, not far off the RS!!

anyone know why mines so much higher than the ph2 1.6 16v??

I have just bought mine today on my credit card (£125 12 months), but there's an xtra charge of £2.50 when you use a credit card :(.

Yeah, whats going on here?!! I've got a 2001 1.6 16v RSi and I'm paying £150 per year. Are the government taking the piss? Mines just passed the mot with a CO reading at fast idle of 0.002 out of an allowed 0.200!!!!!!

errr wtf, mine is £96.25 how is yours £68.75?? surely the emissions cant be that different??

According to the reminder in CO2 level is 165G/KM. Whats yours?

I can only assume the Ph2 engine is more efficient and kicks out less CO2 than the Ph1. Has the Ph1 engine got twin lambdas?

i dont think it does no, i know there are subtle difference in the engines but it takes the piss when two cars from the same manafacturers with baiscally the same engines have such a difference on tax pricing.

** goes off to sulk ** :rasp:
