+1. I could keep up with anything on the road in my 1.2 16v if I treated every road like the TT course and the driver of the other car drove to within the safe speed for the road, conditions etc.

The only way to compare cars properly is on track. On the road its usually a matter of who is more willing to risk there own and other peoples safety.

I'm not against a good b-road thrash but balls out racing other cars on the road isn't for me.

If you had instant access to the roads I have to drive then you would be exactly the same. I probably do know the road better than him but it was nice to see a vts in the rear view mirror When this happened it was at 2 in the morning and there was no lane switching.

Paul C on heres (dont think he posts anymore) mum has a 1.6 8v auto. that's a fun drive, i can tell you
