Clio 1.8 RSI 1995 starting issue.

Hi,

I have a N reg 1.8 RSI, however I have a slight issue, When trying to start the car sometimes it seems like the battery is dead but I know it isn't because one its new and two I've used a battery tester to test it. However when you try a few times it starts perfectly. I have changed a earth strap before but it made no difference. Any ideas?

Earth cables on gearbox , starter motor itself is a high possibility and the wire on the starter itself . I'd start there.

Thanks for the reply, The starter motor is new and the earth strap that was changed was to the gearbox. what kind of test/checks should I do?

Make sure the earths are still tight
