Clio 16v tunning???



  clio 2litre/gt 5 turbo
Hey people i have a valver 1 owner from new thats on an Nreg its only done 40k miles genuin, so far i have put a pipercross pannel filter and a full stainless exhaust system and decat, what else can i do to this car to make it alot quicker without going mad? im also thinking of a fast road clutch what do you guys think about that in this car p.s i own a 240bhp gt 5tutrbo so i should no what to do only im stuck????? help me

Forget the clutch, stock is fine better than uprated usually.

best idea is a 2.0 bottom end for starting tnning but tunning CLios isn't good value.

Turbo/Throttle Bodies would give you most power, obviously highest cost also!

Cams, gas flowed head etc then get it remapped would probably see some good gains also... Im sure Ive missed a couple things out there but basically engine work is your best bet unless you want so spend ££££
 
Just spend the money on your 5. Its pointless spending it on a valver unless you go the 2.0l route

dont get me wrong its fast enough but not as fast as i want im thinking of turbo conversion as i no the lads at bbtunning, but i was thinking about a chip/or rolling road re-map,and possibly putting on the 2litre ecu as my mate did and it made quite a good difference theres nothing else i can spend on my 5, and i mite be selling it

2.0 won't make a difference you need the 2.0 engine as well the ECU won't make a difference.

the 1.8 F7P's arent that tuneable. a decent F7R with a few bits and bobs will be very quick tho. martins ran a 13.8 with a few choice mods, but the majority will do 14's on the strip

hehe just tryin to save ya some cash, i spent £2k on my old 16v, and i had a hybrid afterwards with a lot less work and it was sooo much quicker! over a second and 10mph terminal at york dragway

wat would you say the life span of a clutch would normally be in a clio valver???? the car feels alot slower recently and im not sure if it could be the clutch or an engine running problem, i raced my mates 330ci bmw off a standing start and beat him up to about 110 till we slowed down, but the last couple of days its seemed like its slower, i had new rear wheel bearings and discs and pads all round this couldnt have done any thing could it???? and also could fuel do anything to my performance?
