Clio 172 Alarm/Central Locking Problem

Hello & Happy Christmas !

I accidently pressed the button on my keyfob whilst the boot on my clio was open.

I then shut the boot & pressed my keyfob again which resulted in a long continuous single bleep.

Now the light on the central locking button is permanently on if the car is locked or not.

The car does lock but as soon as I unlock it & open a door the alarm will sound. I can start the engine & drive the car but the alarm will keep sounding & doesn't seem to be able to disarm itself...

Anyone have any ideas ?

Take it to an alarm specialist sounds like you've confused it.

Try battery off and leave it for a while? See if its resets. Alarm will have a battery backup though so it might need to be disconnected for a while.
