CLIO 172 (COILOVERS)

The clio comes very soon matter of days! now i have some good plans in the pipeline, which will happen before she sees the road, coilovers are one of them, i want it low as fook (like over the arches, like the grey one in the lowered on different models thread), on standard 172 wheels, got about £600 to spend on em, how low can i go and where can i get them from!

In the center of the image on the k-tec site the two large chuncks of metal are the adjusters for the rear you use C spanners (supplyed) to raise and lower the height

I was told that KW were much better than the FK and even the H&R, lets hope so as I have just bought KW V2s!!

i was looking at the h&rs but was recomended to use the gaz gold coilovers as the cars a track toy, if ure just looking for low go for the cheapest

why gp for the cheapest, surely the cheaper the crapper, and seems as theyll be pushed to the limits being so low and descent manufacturer would be best! ill look at racecardirect cheers dude

ok i didnt mean it as it sounded, what i ment was why pay for a full all singing all dancing coilover setup when all ure asking for is the car to look as low as fook, and if ure that worried about how it looks i dbout ure actually trying to be competitive on the track.

any way back to the original topic of what coilovers people are recomending for you to use to get ure car low

You need to decide what you want from them. If you want to go as low as possible, handling will suffer. If you want them for track, you wown't go as low. I think Freds is the lowest I've seen that still handled well.

bit of both, however track time is limited, so im sure i can afford two sets of rear springs and just swap them over for track time! obviously i can only go so low as ive live on a bumpy road, and still barturing with the idea to invest in a stainless for the xhaust catching on up climbs (over speed bumps etc etc) the custom springs are they just shrunkened coils heat treated or summat! im from north west so if anybody knows custom spring people near by let me know!
