Wait till the 182 s been out for a while then see the price drop a bit then buy one.

I love my 172 so they should be great if thats what you like.(lack of trim)

Not being funny in any way, just the old driving vs loungin to work drive.

I have owned mine since new (October 2003) and thus far, touch wood, have found nothing wrong with it. I love the car. Driving it is involved, and the performance is terrific. The rear end is a bit playful in the wet, but quite frankly if you dont pay that extra bit of attention in the wet in any car, you are an idiot!

The best review that really gives you a good idea on the car itself, is EVOs.

You dont get leather, ABS, air con, or three back seats... do you REALLY want them - if you do, get a 172.

Price wise - £12-13 thousand for a new one.

Hope this helps - feel free to get in touch by pm.

What do you drive now, and where are you from?

Just got back from Oz so i dont have a car at the moment. Did have a 106 GTi but had to sell it to fund ma trip. From Oakworth near Bradford.

I love my Cup. It rocks. Got some new tyres from Yoz. Uniroyal Rainsports. Very very good tyres. nicely worn in now.

Si,

How much do those rock in at? Cos the standard Contis arent really great! And also dont last very long, as I experienced on my old 1.2 Dynamique
