hi all i need some help i have a problem with my clio 172 03 plate. i can go into gears fine but when i come out of 5th i cant go into 4th but i can go into 3rd, jacked the car up and have noticed that the part of the selector that goes into the bottom of the gearbox has dropped slightly what could cause this and how would i fix it thank you in advance

Its not dropped its how they all look. If it had dropped you would have no gears or gear oil
Get the gear oil changed if not recently been done, if no joy with that then i would say its refurb box time.
These cars are getting older now and as mentioned by another member yesterday, the repair bills cost more than the cars are worth now. Also with alot of them having a hard life too.
Join as a paid member and you are open to as much info,guides , parts for sale etc and so on.
Get the £12 membership back within a month by not spending out on things that you can do yourself.
