Clio 172 Indicators Pumped!!

Hey folks,

hope you can help, none of my indicators work when I use the stalk or the hazard lights button.
I can hear the ticking - it is fast when using the stalk but normal when on the hazards - but no lighting display comes up on the dash board.

All the lights work - and even the amber indicators when I lock and unlock the car.

Is this an UCH(relay/electrics controller)... my local dealer thinks it is, and hes quoting me £220 for a new one,
then another £80 to fit it!!

Im not sure as there are no other problems ... Help would be appreciated!!

it does sound like a relay prob but f**k me £220 for a new one ... are the finished in 22k gold ?

Thats what I thought it was ... but the garage I normally use and trust - non renault - cant find whats causing it .... which means Im fecked!!!

Luckily the bank manager lives next door!!!

Anyone else got ideas?

All 6 bulbs work? all fuses checked?

Checked the lot mate .... even threw it into a different garage to get it checked out, a trusted good mate and mechanic couldnt find the fault. Tried changing fuses around, new switches etc ....

... so looks like its 220 for a new UCH unit, and 80 to fit it!!

Comp stuff too, so has to be done by dealer!!

UCH mate, no doubt about it, poxy things are crap why the hell cant car maker get rid of multiplex computers and go back to good old switches and relays without all the bollox

On this subject I changed one today.
